For Scott Brown, the wedding was lovely; the media honeymoon breathless … but the marriage is a whole ‘nother thing.
He has been under fire from both Democrats and the tea party — he’s too married to Wall Street and Mitch McConnell for the former, not right wing enough for the latter. And he faces re-election with several headwinds coming: a presidential year, when the younger, browner voters who sat out the special election come back; a popular potential opponent in Elizabeth Warren, who won’t have any trouble exciting liberals and women, and uniting her party and moderate independents, and his own voting record, which didn’t burden him when he shocked the world by winning Ted Kennedy’s old seat. Sorry, “the people’s seat…” Ahem. And now, the first ad salvo in the “get Scott” campaign. It depicts Brown as nothing short of a Republican bobblehead, saying yes to everything on the right wing menu. And it comes with a website: Bobbleheadbrown.com. Watch:
